6th Polish Print Triennial, Katowice 2006
814 works made by 312 artists came in to this year’s edition of the Triennial. The Jury selected 110 works by 75 authors to take part in the exhibition.
Nominations to Grand Prix of the 6th PPT include:Janusz Akermann, Judyta Bernaś, Mateusz Dąbrowski, Grzegorz Hańderek, and Krystyna Piotrowska. The Grand Prix winner was selected from among the nominated in a voting by secret ballot, and the votes were kept stamped by a notary in a sealed envelope. The envelope was opened and results announced during the opening of the exhibition on June 9th, 2006.
The Grand Prix laureate of the 6th Polish Print Triennial is Grzegorz Hańderek.
Endowed awards and honorary mentions went to: Ewelina Małysa, Dominika Sadowska, Maciej Kurak, Tomasz Daniec, Andrzej Bobrowski, Henryk Ożóg, Christopher Nowicki, Krzysztof Świętek, Anna Lorenc, and Dorota Nowak.

The Polish Print Triennial in Katowice is one of the main exhibitions accompanying the International Print Triennial in Cracow.
The sixth edition of this all-Poland contest exhibition presents works made by outstanding Polish printmakers within the range of three recent years. For a long time the Polish Print Triennial has been the greatest meeting of Polish artists cultivating this artistic discipline. The exhibition has also contributed to the promotion of Polish art in the world.
Deliberations of the Jury of the 6th Polish Print Triennial were held on May 12th and 13th, 2003, at the Bureau of Artistic Exhibitions in Katowice. The Jury was composed as follows: Ewa Zawadzka from Katowice (president of the Jury), Piotr Bernatowicz from Poznan, Zbigniew Gorlak from Gdansk, Roman Lewandowski from Cracow, Mirosław Pawłowski from Poznań, Zbigniew Purczyński from Łódź, Marcin Surzycki from Cracow, Jacek Szewczyk from Wrocław, and Andrzej Węcławski from Warsaw.
