‘(…) As I look at the posters by Kliś I remember of course that they all came into being as a result of commissions, that they are inspired by competitions, but I am also aware that they were made in response to a text he read or a piece of music he heard, or an event which became special or important to him. What I think is essential is the kind of a private language that the writer uses, which could be called his handwriting.
Michał Kliś's handwriting is a language that has been developed over the years — with colour, light, the manner of shaping letters, but also mental shortcuts, jokes alongside solemnity and deep reflection, which are all built to serve the message, not yielding to it.
Form is an experienced shape, as the old saying goes — regarding posters by Kliś, one could state that form is the experienced essence of the message that the author wishes to convey. (…)’
