Bożena Kowalska's Collection of Polish and foreign Artworks
The exhibition includes a substantial part of a collection belonging to Bożena Kowalska, an art critic and theoretician. She has built up this collection gradually over the last 50 years, from pieces gifted by her artist friends. The exhibition mainly features geometric abstractions, but also contains works by renowned creators of figurative art. The audience will have the opportunity to see paintings, spatial forms and drawings by many artists, including: Karl-Heinz Adler, Getulio Alviani, Jan Berdyszak, Hellmut Bruch, Tadeusz Brzozowski, Jan Dobkowski, Wojciech Fangor, Ingo Glass, Istvan Haasz, Władysław Hasior, Koji Kamoji, Jerzy Kałucki, Jo Niemeyer, Jerzy Nowosielski, Antoni Starczewski, Georg-Karl Pfahler, Roman Opałka, Kajetan Sosnowski, Henryk Stażewski, Józef Szajna, Tadeusz Wiktor, Ryszard Winiarski. The majority of works on display are reproduced in the accompanying book of the exhibition, authored by Bożena Kowalska, and entitled ‘Fragments of Life’.
