MAN-EDUCATION-ART-CONTACT. Practice and future prognosis
“ART and EDUCATION” are the basis for contemplation for all those who want to handle those issues. Pedagogues, sociologists, therapeutics, artists, experts on culture, anthropologists and theoretician on art as well as policy officers and all those who are interested in theory and practice in education and animation of culture.
The preface was prepared by Janusz Byszewski — practitioner and artist who has been working with art and animation for 30 years. The originator of the conference is Ewa Kokot who for nearly 20 years have been organising workshops on art and education.
“At first I tried to create artistic events for children, however now I prefer working with all age groups. I can sense a huge potential of such ventures and at the same time their form and content are linked to critical approach to the contemporary educational patterns. I feel that art is a better space for communication, search and expression of one’s own identity. I hope that September meeting will create a Silesian platform of education for educators, culture managers and artists from the educational and cultural institutions. The point is that such cooperation between various local national and European institutions should be lasting and systematic.”
