6th edition of photographic workshop
The course includes the following issues:
— basic notions: equipment and practical issues of photographing
— digital image processing: image editing in graphic programmes, preparation of photographs to be printed out and other presentations, photomontage
— principles of trimming and composition: perspective, colour, value, texture, and light
— due exposure: automatic, semi-automatic and manual settings, ISO, whiteness balance
— copyright and work planning
— history of photography
— picture story, documentary photography, advertising photography, landscape, portrait
— silhouettes of master photographers.
The practical part of the workshop will consist in working out and solving photographic tasks and discussing the works made by the participants. The participation in the workshop is an experience which develops plastic sensitivity and photographic consciousness, as well as skills and techniques needed to take pictures and serve the camera. The knowledge acquired by the participants during the course will be the starting point for further photographic investigations, giving them some basic skills and techniques to develop.
Free workshop for people interested in photography, which aims at acquiring knowledge, techniques and skills in this area, both theoretically and practically. The programme includes lessons, lectures and slideshows complemented by practical exercises.
ORGANISATION:
The course consists of 10 classes of 2 hours each. The classes are to be held on Saturdays at the BWA Contemporary Art Gallery in Katowice. Approximate time of the course is 2,5 month.
The 6th edition of the course starts on February 11th, 2012.
