meeting with Wojciech Bąkowski — part of a cycle entitled ‘Inessentials’
Wojciech Bąkowski (born in 1979) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. He is a musician and poet, author of animated and video films, audio objects and installations, audio performances and radio dramas, and band leader for the groups KOT, NIWEA and Czykita. In May 2007 he co-founded an art group called PENERSTWO, whose other members include Radosław Szlaga, Tomasz Mróz, Konrad Smoleński, Piotr Bosacki, Iza Tarasewicz, and Magdalena Starska. He was also the winner of ‘Views’ Deutsche Bank Foundation and Zachęta National Gallery Award, 2009, as well as ‘Polityka's Passport’ Award in 2010.

On Tuesday, 28th February, at 7pm, BWA's Small Space will host a meeting with Wojciech Bąkowski, part of a cycle entitled ‘Inessentials’. The discussion will be conducted by Michał Lasota, and it will be preceded by a screening of the artist's films.
