Solstices is a temporary collection of sound sculptures treated as containers for various types of murmurs, creaks, accelerated breaths, rustles and squeaks.
The exhibition bases on Marcin Dymiter, Iza Tarasewicz, Alicja Bielawska, Marcin Dudek, Damian Reniszyn, Michał Frydrych, Bartek Buczek, Magdalena Starska, Kuba Bąkowski, Magdalena Lazar, Daria Malicka, Karolina Breguła, Iwona Demko, Karolina Grzywnowicz, reflections on ritual potential of sound in building community. Starting point for this sensual geographies was careful listening of body. The structure of the exhibition grows up on participants activated bodies and sound machinery which collide energy of anarchic noise with stagnation and stillness. Sounds and vibrations, explored in works of art in various ways, determine the moment of accumulation and sudden loss of strength, balancing on the peak of form and powerlessness and chaos imperceptibly passing into relief.
