This is a workshop that combines history and architecture, concentrating on ornamental mouldings that can be found in Katowice. With so many magnificent private and public buildings that boast fine ornamental details to choose from, workshop participants will focus on selected examples, after which they will create their own ornamented panels in two different techniques.
The workshop will be divided into two parts. First, there will be an overview of the history of Katowice's facade ornaments, combined with an architectural tour of the city. The second part will be a hands-on session, where participants will make their own decorations using the sgraffito technique and create forms from fresh mortar.
