In 2010, as part of its Sculpture Park, Atelier 34zero Muzeum created the socio-cultural project Advertisment for a work of art. The concept is simple: on several surfaces of 20 m² installed in its cultural park, Atelier 34zero Muzeum presents, several times a year, reproductions of works of modern and contemporary art, printed on banners.
This project showcases the work of Belgian and international artists, with a view to sharing contemporary art with the neighborhoods public, passers-by and visitors. The aim is to challenge, arouse curiosity, provoke intellectually the all-comers, but also to create, outside the Atelier 34zero Muzeum, a showcase of the curatorial decisions taken within its walls. The selected works, with multiple aesthetics, are often imbued with a certain burlesque spirit, thus revealing a form of humoristic shift with the immediate social context.
Over the years, Atelier 34zero Muzeum has constituted a rich collection of more than seventy monumental reproductions of international artworks, of which we present a selection within the spaces of the BWA Contemporary Art Gallery in Katowice (PL), to continue our collaboration with museum institutions as much as our mission to promote and share contemporary art outside our borders.
