How do we create optical music? Well, we can do it with a little help from animator Norman McLaren, but then we will also need to mix primary colours from Isaac Newton's colour wheel, apply Wassily Kandinsky's idea of synesthesia, and add a few colourful keyboards from the 17th and 18th century – as a result, we will be able to hear sounds of dots, stripes and squares. However, as these ingredients are not easily available these days, we only ask you to come, bringing your family along!
Our workshop is for families with children aged 6 to 10. The class will be divided into a theoretical part (with a multimedia presentation followed by a bit of a discussion) and a workshop, in which participants will create live music and film.
